What advice would you offer to someone thinking about graduate school?
I would tell them to make sure you know your “why” for thinking about graduate school. Having a vision for why you want a master’s degree or Ph.D. helps make sure you stay focused during the admissions process and during your program. Just like so many other people, I would stress working on your time management skills! I thought I had great time management skills, but graduate school has absolutely tested it as I juggle so many competing priorities. Also, learn what is self-care for you and be comfortable with that changing over time too!
