Fun Facts
Favorite quotes/sayings?
“If you ask me what I came to do in this world, I, an artist, will answer you: I am here to live out loud.” (Émile Zola)
Pets?
A very fluffy tuxedo cat named René Descates, after one of my favorite philosophers, Descartes. He is much cuter and much stupider than his namesake.
If you could study any random thing other than HDFS/MFT, what would it be?
Tattoos! Well, not so much study them as create them. When I graduated high school, my top two career choices were either a professor of psychology or a tattoo artist. I would love to study the art of tattooing, and I may still pursue that career someday.
What has surprised you about being a graduate student?
I love it more than undergrad, and I really loved undergrad! It is a very different feeling being in graduate school. You are treated much more like a peer by your professors, many classes are based around discussion and conversation, and you have lots of freedom to study what you’re passionate about. Being in graduate school is so empowering and exciting.
