2024-25 O’Neal, C. W., (PI), Lucier-Greer, M. (Co-I/PI of AU sub-award), Tate, A. (Co-I), & McKay, B. (Co-I). Evaluating Family Financial Readiness Programs for The Department of the Air Force. Funded by the U.S. Department of the Air Force. Total award to date: $608,781. (Total AU subaward $81,000). Anticipated annual renewals through 2029.

2023-25 Lucier-Greer, M. (PI). Understanding and Addressing Food Insecurity in the Military: A Translational Science Approach. Primary objective: To explore antecedents and consequences of food insecurity within military families and identify recovery factors. Funded by the Alabama Agricultural Experiment Station (AAES) ARES – AgR-SEED Grant Program. Total award $49,826.

2023-25 O’Neal, C. W., (PI), Lucier-Greer, M. (Co-I/PI of AU sub-award), Fan, L. (Co-I), & McKay, B (Co-I). Measuring the Effectiveness of Financial Literacy Efforts Across the DoD: The Development and Implementation of a Collaborative, Action-Oriented Program Evaluation. Primary objective: To develop a multi-pronged evaluation plan to that can be employed by stakeholders to measure financial literacy across the DoD and evaluate financial literacy education efforts. Funded by the USAA Educational Foundation. Total award $600,000. (Total AU subaward $93,345).

2021-24 Lucier-Greer, M. (PI), & O’Neal, C. W. (Co-I). Military REACH: Mobilizing Research to Support Military Family Readiness. Primary objective: To provide high-quality resources to the Department of Defense (DoD) in the form of research and professional development tools across the spectrum of family support and readiness. Funded by the U.S. Department of Agriculture, National Institute of Food and Agriculture (USDA/NIFA Award No. 2021-48710-35671) to support the work of the DoD-USDA Partnership for Military Families. Non-competitive, annual renewals anticipated through 2025. Total current award $2,159,267.50.
