With a growing emphasis on preventative health care and an interest in overall health, wellness and improved quality of life among consumers and employers, Auburn University's degree in Nutrition with an option in Wellness is designed to prepare students for successful career entry into the broad health and wellness professions. A multitude of career opportunities are available throughout the philanthropic, public and private sectors. The mission of the Nutrition Science major at Auburn University is to provide a high quality program of study that integrates the core nutrition science courses with additional courses in chemistry, physics, and biology to prepare graduates for entry into professional/graduate schools or nutrition-related careers dedicated to enhancing human well-being and quality of life.
