We are launching a new study abroad program to Peru! Students will experience a highly diverse geography as they visit the coast, highlands (Andes mountains), and the Amazon rainforest. Explore the unique cultural history, ancient civilization ruins, breathtaking sights, and the busiest cities of Peru! Students will experience monasteries, markets, palaces, temples, ceviche cooking class, wildlife viewings, weaving demonstrations, and a myriad of additional adventures.
The purpose of this course is to provide the student with eleven days of valuable cultural activities and international study abroad experience in Peru. Price includes round-trip airfare, accommodations, all program-related ground transportation, regional-style meals, guided sightseeing be a certified local, and all entrance fees.
All courses in Peru are taught in English. Undergraduate students enroll in CADS 4910, Practicum in Philanthropy and Non-Profit Studies, HUSC 5940, Study and Travel in Human Sciences (3 credits), CADS 3940, Study and Travel in Consumer and Design Sciences, or another College of Human Sciences practicum or study/travel course approved by the instructor. Graduate students enroll in HUSC 6940 and have extra assignments commensurate with their graduate degree status.
This program will cost $5300, which includes United Healthcare Global insurance, cancellation insurance, and program fees. Additionally, students book their own flights (estimated to be approximately $1,500) and Auburn Study Abroad fee of $677 (instead of tuition).

Application for a United States passport should be made at least 120 days in advance of your departure date. Auburn Abroad recommends that you apply for a passport as soon as you know you are participating in the program. If you already have a passport: Please check the expiration date. Passports should be valid for at least 6 months following your scheduled time abroad.
