BRUSSELS, BELGIUM

This three week summer study abroad in Brussels, Belgium focuses on the rich history the country has to offer through fermentation, art, agriculture, and monasticism. Students will learn more about fermentation and food through a historical lens, see some of the most famous works of art, and tour the ruins of medieval monasteries.

Belgium is known for its stunning medieval towns, uniquely speaking Dutch, French, and German, and for being the headquarters of the European Union and NATO. The rich history of the country makes it an optimal location for students looking to expand their knowledge of gastronomy and brewing science.

Undergraduate students will be registered for 3 credit hours in HUSC 5940: Human Sciences in Belgium. The program is open to all majors and any student who is sophomore status and above.
